Abstract
This paper discusses the question of the effectiveness and improvement of the work of the regulatory authorities for drugs and vaccines. First, it lays the economic
foundations for the pharmaceutical industry, then it presents empirical evidence
for the role of regulation in the development of drugs and vaccines, and finally it
proposes policy changes.
