N2 - Thermally stimulated processes are studied in nominally pure, as well as in doped, perovskite type fluorides. The TSL and TSC, induced by X and monochromatic UV irradiations, are measured and their relations with other thermally stimulated processes are discussed. The excitation and emission spectra of the main TSL peaks are also measured, and their kinetic parameters are evaluated. From the comparison of the TSL and TSC curves, valuable information concerning the processes which occurred during the irradiation and the subsequent heating of the samples is obtained. The main TSL peaks seem to arise in this type of crystals from the thermal release of holes and their subsequent recombination with electron centres.
