ملخص

Use of an array subject to random perturbations in sensor phases may lead to large errors in the estimation of source location parameters. In this paper, we first calculate the Cramer-Rao lower bounds (CRLB) for bearings and ranges of narrow-band Gaussian sources and for the phase errors at each sensor. The latter are assumed to be i. i. d. zero mean Gaussian random variables. We then show that using a certain number of sources in unknown locations, phase calibration can be achieved for any two dimensional array, when the sources are not co-linear with the array. Finally, a calibration procedure which uses Maximum Likelihood techniques is proposed.
