ملخص

The current state-of-the-art of the aerodynamic energy concept is reviewed. The latest applications of the relaxed energy concept, most of which are as yet unpublished, are also presented. These applications include the suppression of the external-store flutter of three different configurations of the YF-17 flutter model using a single trailing-edge (T. E. ) control surface activated by a single, fixed gain, control law. Also included are some initial results regarding the suppression of flutter of the 1/20 scale, low-speed wind-tunnel model of the Boeing 2707-300 supersonic transport, using an activated T. E. control surface.
