ملخص
The nonlinear interaction between surface acoustic waves and the mobile carriers of an adjacent semiconductor, generates an output voltage which is proportional to the convolution of the two input signals modulating the traveling waves. The SAW convolver has a variety of applications in communication systems as an adaptive matched filter, a real time Fourier transform processor and as a correlator. A description is given of the basic principle of the device and some experimental results.
